Earn CME Reading Neurosurgical Focus
Each month, the current issue of NSF features a selection of articles. The NSF editorial board will select questions and compile them into an online exam. Articles that should be read to pass the exam are clearly identified. Prior to January 1, 2007, each issue of NSF dating back to April, 2004, is worth 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Beginning in January, 2007, each issue is worth 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Please note that CME will no longer be available for an issue three years after its release date. Once in the current issue, the link to the exam will be in the right-hand margin; members will need to log in to MyAANS.org to access it (see below). Participants have two chances to pass the online exam, needing 7 out of 10 correct answers, or 70%. The program reports incorrect answers and directs the exam-taker back to the appropriate article for the answer. Once the exam is passed, the CME credit is automatically posted to the participant's record, and to the individual's online CME transcript on MyAANS.org. At any time, AANS members can complete the exam or view their online CME transcripts, by subspecialty if preferred, by logging into password-protected MyAANS.org. New visitors will need to register, and should have their member number and e-mail handy. For assistance logging in contact AANS Member Services at (888) 566-AANS (2267) or e-mail memberservices@aans.org. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
