WELCOME

Published monthly under the auspices of the Journal of Neurosurgery, indexed on PubMed, and featured on Medscape, Neurosurgical Focus offers rapid electronic publication of original contributions.

Every issue concentrates on a specific topic of interest to neurosurgeons. Each month, one or more Topic Editors who are experts in a specific field review submissions and assign them for peer review to several other experts associated with that topic. In addition, the Editor and Associate Editor and members of Focus's International Editorial Board also provide evaluations.

A variety of types of articles and video clips are considered for publication, including brief basic science reports, clinical studies, case reports with specific lessons to be learned, methodology and technical reports, protocols for management and assessment of outcome, clinical "pearls," literature reviews, and more.

In essence, each issue constitutes a state-of-the-art "textbook chapter" in the field of neurosurgery. Continuing Medical Education credit is available monthly through reading of selected articles and then taking an online, interactive examination dealing with the presented material.
