Who Can be an AANS International Member or International Resident/Fellow Member?
International Member: International members are neurological surgeons who do not qualify as an Active Member by virtue of their country of residence or training and who have completed a formal neurosurgical training program as determined by, and suitable to, the Board of Directors. Individuals applying for International Membership must reside outside of the US or Canada at the time of application.

International Resident/Fellow: International Resident/Fellow Members are residents or fellows who are enrolled in a verifiable non-North American neurosurgical training program or who are in the five years following completion of residency. Once certification is obtained, the International Resident/Fellow Member may request transfer to International Member status with the submission of a copy of their certification certificate.
