On March 15, the AANS and the CNS joined the Alliance of Specialty Medicine in responding to the House Committee on Education and Workforce Committee’s Request for Information on ways to improve the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). In the comment letter, the groups made several recommendations to ensure physicians can focus on providing high-quality patient care rather than complying with burdensome utilization management requirements, such as prior authorization.
