Subject: H.R. 3391, the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0

Dear Reps. Wexton, Cole, Bilirakis and Dingell:

On behalf of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), representing more than 4,000 practicing neurosurgeons in the United States, we write to support your legislation, H.R. 3391, the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0. We appreciate and applaud your efforts to expand the available funds to support research on pediatric diseases and disorders at the National Institutes of Health. By redirecting penalties collected from certain health care organizations, this legislation provides a new funding source for pediatric and childhood cancer research.
