Neurosurgeon Publishes Op-Ed on Prior Authorization

On Jan. 3, The American Spectator published an op-ed by AANS/CNS Communications and Public Relations Committee member Richard Menger, MD, MPA, FAANS; Jessica Murfee, RN, BSN and Erin Roberts, RN, BSN. Titled “Insurance Companies Use Stalling Tactics to Save Themselves Money,” the authors discuss health care provider burnout from the cumbersome prior authorization process required by insurance companies.
